It all began with a scam, believe it or not! Soon after my son was born we received a letter from Kids.com that stated they had heard about my child and would like to meet to discuss modeling. I being a pretty cautious person decided to investigate the "agency" before meeting with them. Soon after looking them up I found out they were indeed a scam. But it sparked an interest in the baby modeling world, so I decided to look into finding him legitimate reputable representaion. I found a few agencies through some searches online and double checked them through SAG and some other sites and sent out his photos to a few. I heard back within a few days from CESD. They told me they wanted to meet us, and I was so nervous. A couple of weeks later we met with them assuming it was going to be a drawn out process but that same day received our vouchers and info and gave in some photos. A couple of weeks later he direct booked his first modeling job for BabyCenter! It's been quite a journey, and it's alot of work mostly for me, Tommy gets to have all the fun and just smile for the camera! It pays off simply to see him in print, online or on film. It's a great experience if you decide to get your child involved but don't be fooled, It takes alot of work and dedication. And always keep in mind, your child will not get all the jobs and each child is different. Some book all the time and others not so much. It's just the way this business operates. You will meet so many different people and it will be a great experience. My son has been modeling since he was 3-4mo old, he is now almost 2 years old represented by two agencies CESD in New York and Model Club Inc in Boston also has a manager(Cinematic Kidz) and has done some print and a couple short films and a music video. But in the end he is just an everyday toddler that loves to have his photo taken!
