Lauren Barber ~Cinderella

Windy days are smiling days!!

Lauren began life so full of zeal and a desire to model, sing and perform. At three, when she would hear a camera shutter, Lauren would dash over to the be the center of the shot! There is a sparkle in her eye when she is in front of the camera.

She is an amazing vocalist and has performed in numerous theatrical productions, the latest of which was a principle role as "Cinderella" in the Broadway junior production of "Into the Woods". This was her favorite production to date. Lauren is also active in her city's children's symphony chorus and has dreams to one day make it to Broadway!! She has an amazing opportunity to go on tour and perform in New York this summer with her final stop being Carnegie Hall! This is a dream come true for her.

She is a exemplary student receiving numerous academic and character awards. She has remained on Honor Roll every school year to date. She enjoys the piano and has placed Superior two years running at our regional performing arts competition and is in contention for gold division next year.

Lauren is told on many occasions that she is so mindful of others and so compassionate. This is why it is so easy for her to combine her love of children and of horses by volunteering at a local occupational therapy group that works with children with physical disabilities. They utilize horses in the therapy sessions to improve cognitive skills. They teach the children to do tasks that we might otherwise take for granted. She is so happy and loves to watch the children's faces as they reach each new goal set before them.

Lauren also loves to swim, play volleyball, dance and spend time with her siblings. She is a wonderful young girl with a dream to someday make a difference in the world. Lauren does so everyday, by even her smallest gestures, that make each day so special by putting smile's on so many faces.

Lauren should be voted as Junes Model because she is an awesome role model, beautiful, and so talented! She is fun-loving and ready to help anyone who is in need! She is someone who would take the win not as personal gain, but as a way to reach others in need by using the resources given to her as a result of her win. :)

Very Professional Young lady!

Lauren Barber has been a student of mine for two years. I have directed her through four productions, and in that time I have watched her blossom into quite a performer. She is always dependable, respectful, punctual, and has her material memorized before the due date. If you present her with a task or challenge she will always set her mind to accomplish this with the high standards she has for herself. She also has a very lovely voice, with great intonation and accuracy. Lauren has been an asset to my productions and I have enjoyed being part of her journey.

Lauren is such an amazing girl. She is the joy at any occasion. She is the type of person that always thinks of other's and how they are feeling first. It is such a pleasure to watch her grow as a young lady and a performer. After each song she leaves you wanting more!! Lauren will reach her dreams and touch many lives along the way!
