Wow, I can't believe almost a year has past since I first found Child Models Advice & Model Space Kids Website! With that first post it's been fun receiving the updates as each photo is posted with a story of why kids just like me want to model. It's been a great year! I've worked with several Boston Colleges on student projects, modeled for New England School of Photography, and shot a commercial for The Colored Pencil Project (www.thecoloredpencilproject.org). The music video was a 2 day shoot and was an amazing experience, and is now live on youtube with over 31,000 hits! (search youtube for "State Radio Knights of Bostonia Music Video") I had the opportunity to walk the runway with Pageant winners who were as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside! They shared the spotlight with us kids and we all had an amazing time showing off Spring Fashions to benefit the MA Children's Trust Fund. I find Modeling and Acting fun, exciting and what I love to do!

Another thing I would like to share is that even though I've been busy auditioning and working on these great projects, I've done many of them as donated time for copy. Whenever someone hears that I'm working on something, one of the first things they will ask is "Do you get paid, and how much?" The way I see it is, kids don't get paid running up and down a basketball court, playing baseball or soccer, it's something they love and do for an activity, yet nobody asks them when they win a game if they get paid because that would be ridiculous. I love modeling and acting and I think it takes time and experience to get better just like those kids that run up and down the basketball court, playing baseball or soccer - they didn't land on the soccer field, having never played before, and then named the MVP of the team. Make sense? So, please remember, those that love it do it because they love it, kids that love it don't look at each project wondering how much they will get paid, they look at a project wondering if they're right for it, and if so give all they have to make it the best.

What's next for me? - I'm auditioning for a cable show tomorrow called kickin' kitchen - it's a comedy based on a few girls that start their own 'web cooking show'. On Monday I'm working with a professional photographer who has two studios, and needs to add new stock photography - and guess what, I need a few new pictures. He gets the child model he needs for his studio advertising, and I get an hour shoot with two outfit changes, hi resolution re-touched photos with a signed release to use as I want. Do you think I'll have fun? You bet!
