2010 Fashion Look Book Project by Capitol Models

Hi Friends!

A quick update! I had a photo shoot yesterday for a project I was invited to appear in, the 2010 Fashion Look Book, cast by Capitol Models LLC. This is an exciting project where models from across the country have the opportunity to shocase their style & skills to the modeling & publishing industry, and the rest of the Fashion World!

This print project will be available nationally and will be delivered to major Talent Agencies and Fashion magazines in America for the benefit of the featured Models & Photography Teams.

I will have one image published in the book, and my mom and I had artistic control over how we wanted to conceive, style and direct the photo shoot. The goal is to create a Fashion or High Fashion image that we will be proud to have seen by National Talent Agents, Fashion Editors, Beauty Editors, Publishers and Fashion fans across the country. The image was to be shot in artistic black & white. Models for this project are instructed to have the image reflect their sense of fashion, style and personality while maintaining a high fashion look. Models were told to demonstrate a high degree of modeling expertise (i.e.; pose in studio or be shot walking on a runway).

Models needed to assemble a photographic team for this project. This was an amazing experience! My mom called Frank Herzog, a Boston photographer which I had just worked with on stock photos for his studio, and asked if he wanted to be a part of the team - all "Team" members are recognized in the book as credits appearing on the model's photo. Frank said yes, so now we have our photographer, then we called Keldara Salon, where I get my hair cut, and the manager offered a stylist to do my hair and a clinician for my makeup. Then what to wear? Mom called a local bridal and formal shop, Allure, and the owner was awesome! I tried on several dresses and found a few that were just right for the project. All members of my "Team" did the project without fees, and will appear as credits on my page!

I felt like a star and I want to encourage anyone who is offered an opportunity like this to take it! It was so much fun, and it is just amazing how generous everyone was that helped make this project happen!
Everyone was so happy to be a part of this project, and as the photographer said, "You never know what can happen with an opportunity like this".

I have been so fortunate with everyone I've met modeling and acting - such great people loving what they do!

Here's a quick slide show of some photos mom took during the shoot - I'll have the professional ones soon, but wanted to mention how well this went because I was told by Capitol Models LLC that this was the first of six Look Books that they have been hired to cast for.
